Classroom Presentation Module
       Session 1: May 29th-30th, 10am-12pm;
         Session 2: June 5th-6th, 10am-12pm;

T
his two-day workshop module will focus on the practical use of technology in an actual classroom. From the course site you've created to the use of presentation software like PowerPoint, introducing new technologies into the classroom creates a new set of challenges and possibilities for the way you conduct a class. The first day will focus on evaluating the usefulness (or value added) by bringing technology into the classroom itself. You will also learn the basic skills necessary to create a PowerPoint presentation (PowerPoint is one of the most popular presentation software applications). On the second day you will present your PowerPoint presentation to the group in order to experience firsthand the ways that integrating a computer-based presentation may change your lecture style. You will also learn how to anticipate hardware problems by becoming acquainted with the setup and operation of classroom multimedia stations.
