ADMISSIONS
The PNP program admits a number of new graduate students each year. Successful applicants are eligible for support for up to five years (contingent on continued successful performance in the program). The stipend for 2005-2006 is $14,300. Prospective students should indicate whether they are applying to the regular philosophy program, to the PNP program, or to both.

Applications consist of two parts and are due January 15.
The first part of the application can be completed online HERE. With the on-line version you may attach either your statement of purpose or your writing sample. Both are required with your application. You may mail a 'hard copy' directly to the department or attach it in an email to Kimberly Mount, administrative assistant for PNP.
To request a 'hard copy', please email the secretary, Mindy Danner. Please note: the paper version MUST be mailed to the Graduate School office: Washington University, Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, One Brookings Dr., Box 1187, St. Louis, MO, 63130
The second part off the application, to be sent directly to the philosophy office (address is listed below), should contain:
- a cover letter,
- a statement of purpose, and
- a writing sample of 12-18 pages that demonstrate philosophical ability.
Supporting documents:

- confidential reference letters, unless submitted on-line, should also be sent directly to the philosophy office (address is listed below),
