Each external
grant database focuses on a very broad category of applicant and attracts
the major sources of research and dissertation writing funding for graduate
students. Washington University students may search the listed external grant
databases free of charge to individual students; subscription fees are paid
by Washington University. Querying these databases will identify well established
funding agencies. Most of these funding sources have ongoing programs
that are funded from year to year ensuring that the notice of the availability
of such funds continues annually. Though the dollar amount may differ
each year, the announcements for the programs are quite similar and even
have fixed deadlines. Below are links to pages describing how to use
each of databases provided by Washington University. To use one of the databases
click on it and you will be sent to a page describing the database with some
search tips.
