Bob supervises all aspects of graduate education. Of particular importance is the admissions process, where the numbers and stipend amounts of offers to applicants for each department are calibrated to the departments’ overall resource base. Progress of continuing students to degree attainment is also monitored. The rules and regulations governing graduate education are generated in concert with the Graduate Council. Bob also chairs the Professional and Graduate Student Coordinating Committee (ProGradS) which deals with university-wide issues. Elaine works with the Graduate Dean to develop new policies and special projects in graduate education. She serves as administration staff to the Graduate Council, the Professional and Graduate Student Coordinating Committee, and the Board of Trustees Research and Graduate Affairs Committee. She advises the officers of Graduate and Professional Student Groups, both graduate school-wide and university-wide. She is the Academic Integrity Officer for the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and is liaison to the Career Center, the Teaching Center, and Student Affairs. She also supervises various award and committee nominations, New Student Orientation, Graduate Student handbooks and the Graduate School web site. Olin Fellowship Program Coordinator Nancy administers external funding won by students, coordinates the University-wide Mr. and Mrs. Spencer T. Olin Fellowship program, advises department-specific peer-mentoring programs for graduate students in Arts & Sciences, and serves as the Graduate School’ s Office Manager. She also edits the Bulletin every three years and "GAPS in the News," an electronic newsletter about, by, and for graduate and professional students across all seven Schools. Chancellor's Graduate Fellowship Coordinator Graduate Financial Services Sheri is the coordinator of the Chancellor's Graduate Fellowship program. In this role she administers payroll, plans activities, conferences, and other events, and monitors the academic progress of the Fellows. Sheri also helps to recruit talented and diverse students to the graduate school by hosting prospective students on our campus, inviting professors to speak with students, and attending recruitment events throughout the country. Sheri also administers the Stafford Student Loan program, the Federal Work Study program, as well as several grants and fellowships. Sheri also serves as the liaison with Student Health Services.

As registrar for the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Ann monitors all aspects of records and registration and advises students on policies and procedures of the Graduate School. She is responsible for administration of the Graduate School’s student health fee subsidy, provides administrative support to the Graduate Curriculum Committee, and handles registration of unclassified students. As the Assistant Registrar for the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Angie keeps all current student files and updates the Student Information System. She assists in the registration of students and works closely with the departments within Arts and Sciences to perform degree audits prior to students' commencement dates. Angie posts remission and approves registration for summer school courses. She oversees the application and completion of the Certificate Programs which are handled within the Graduate School. Lynn works with Dean Thach, faculty, departmental staff, and graduate students. She is responsible for keeping administrative files and interpreting graduate school guidelines to students, faculty and staff. In providing administrative support to the Dean, she manages his correspondence, keeps his calendar, facilitates his interactions with department chairs and graduate studies advisors, and assists with the annual competition for the Faculty Research Grant, as well as nominations for various outside grants and scholarships. She works with faculty and staff in processing admissions, financial awards to new and continuing students, and allocations of departmental TA/RA and FWS budgets. Her interactions with graduate students include monitoring eligibility for registration, tuition remission, health insurance and health subsidy. Bridget manages regular and deferred admissions. Managing admissions includes mailing the admissions and award letters to admitted students and tracking the applicants’ responses. She also manages the on-line application system, including training departmental staff who work with graduate admissions. In addition to admissions work, Bridget is working with Arts and Sciences departments on discipline-specific recruiting and the design of recruiting materials for graduate programs. Martha provides administrative support to Associate Dean Elaine Berland. In this capacity, she provides logistical support for graduate student groups in Arts and Sciences and University-wide, and for meetings of the Graduate Council, the Board of Trustees Research-Graduate Affairs Committee, and ProGradS. She is responsible for the logistics for the annual New Student Orientation program, the Dean’s Reception, and new Teaching Assistant Orientation. Martha maintains the Graduate School website, email lists for graduate students, and the Ph.D. job placement files. Louise supervises and approves the accounting for the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, submits fiscal year budgets, and closing entries. She is also responsible for the payroll for the Graduate School staff, GOL workshops and Online Lecture, and for various fellowships including University, Continuing, Dissertation, Howard Hughes, NSF, Olin, and Chancellor's. Louise works closely with the Graduate student groups processing reimbursements for the GPC, GSS, registered student groups, and Peer Mentoring program. Nancy provides support to Associate Dean Nancy Pope as well as to the Administrative Assistant and the Graduate School Registrar. She helps plan and arrange the Special Recognition Commencement Ceremony, posts tuition remission to our student’s accounts, coordinates the ordering, distribution, and processing of paper applications as well as the distribution of the GRE scores. Nancy disperses Howard Hughes, Spencer T. Olin, Canon National Parks, and Environment Protection Agency Fellowship funding on behalf of our student recipients. On a day-to-day basis she is responsible for the general office email account and serves as a back up for the front desk, responding to phone calls and walk-in guests. Amy provides the Assistant Dean with assistance in the administration of the following areas: loans and other federal programs, applications, award letters, record keeping, fellowships, recruitment, and conferences. Amy helps coordinate and plan all aspects of the Chancellor's Fellowship and processes payments from various budgets. She prepares check requests, purchase orders, and ensures the efficient processing of all accounts payable. Amy also provides assistance to other staff members as needed.
