In February 2008 as Dean of Arts & Sciences, Provost Macias introduced an initiative to create new websites for the departments, programs and centers of Arts & Sciences. The goal of this project is to create a unified, professional presence for Arts & Sciences, and to provide the technology infrastructure to help departments easily manage and update their respective sites.
This project has been successful due to the combined efforts of the Arts & Sciences Communications office, department chairs/ program directors and staff, web development firm Palantir.net, graphic design firm Paradowski Creative, and the support of A&S Computing. There are 21 more sites in various stages of the development process, and most will launch between now and the beginning of the fall semester.
Arts & Sciences is proud to see Provost Macias' initiative come to fruition, and know these and future new sites will reinforce the strengths of Arts & Sciences both locally and globally. Arts & Sciences is pleased to announce that the first six websites are now live:
