Overview

Beginning in Fall 2006, the Program in Social Thought and Analysis is no longer accepting new majors. STA has merged with the American Culture Studies Program. For more information about the merger, please see the letter sent to STA majors by Professor John Bowen, former Director of Social Thought and Analysis, and Professor Wayne Fields, Director of American Culture Studies.

Students interested in learning more about American Culture Studies should visit AmCS's requirements for Major and Minors.

Students who would like to discuss their STA-related interests and how they might pursue them through American Culture Studies are encouraged to talk with Dr. Margaret (Lou) Brown. You may contact her at mbrown@wustl.edu to set up an appointment.

For students who have already declared a major or minor in Social Thought and Analysis, the curriculum will be maintained to allow completion of the major or minor requirements. For information on STA courses and requirements, please click here.
