Translation

Our three translations from Latin, German, and Spanish poetry bring the skill of six accomplished poets to light. Kimberly Johnson explores two famous and loved passages from Vergil's The Georgics on the "Barbarians of the North" and "How to Steal Honey from the Bees." Daniele Pantano brings us translations of Swiss playwright Friedrich Dürrenmatt's biting poems about his native land. And Jerry Harp puts his own English on the restless and querulous Spanish of Cuban poet Víctor Rodríguez Núñez.
