Kranzberg Art & Architecture Library
The Kranzberg Art & Architecture Library maintains the primary responsibility of supporting the teaching and research missions of the School of Architecture, School of Art, and the Department of Art History & Archaeology. In addition to the regular collection of more than 99,000 volumes, the library also contains reference material, periodicals, online art and architecture databases, cd-roms, theses and dissertations, videos, and DVDs.

East Asian Library
The East Asian Library contains more than 117,000 volumes of books and bound periodicals and 1,300 reels of microfilm relating to China, Japan, and the Korean Peninsula. These materials are primarily in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean and are particularly strong in the fields of literature, history, philosophy, religion, and art history.

Olin Library
Olin Library houses the largest general collections of books on campus. An extensive video collection is also accessible. Inter-library loan services are also available for those with borrowing privileges.

Special Collections
In addition to the University Archives, Special Collections houses the largest of the University's rare-book and manuscript collections. The rare book collection begins with incunbula (books printed before 1501), including 400 Greek fragments from the 1st through 8th Centuries AD in the Throop Papyri Collection, and encompasses Western European and American imprints from the 16th through 20th Centuries. The Manuscripts Collection consists of the manuscripts, drafts, worksheets, and correspondence of a number of important British and American writers of the 19th and 20th centuries. The Archives (located at the West Campus library) house manuscripts, published material, sound and video recordings, and other materials spanning the entire history of the University, from 1853 to the present day.

Richardson Memorial Library
The Richardson Memorial Library at the Saint Louis Art Museum features over 71,000 volumes, 425 periodical titles, auction catalogues since 1825, and the Museum archives. It is the largest public center for the documentation of art in the central-Midwest region. The library's Artist Research Service is available for public use through telephone, email, or online request.

St. Louis Public Library
The St. Louis Public Library has sixteen branches throughout the city and an extensive online catalogue. Charring Cross is conveniently located by Washington University Campus, at Skinker and Pershing. The Public Library system has an extensive collection of art and architecture books, most of which can be requested and sent to the Charing Cross branch.

University City Public Library
The University City Public Library houses a book collection well beyond 150,000 volumes, and a large collection of music and spoken word recordings.
