Texas
Snow Monkey Sanctuary. Managed the daily care and operations of over
300 Old World Monkeys of the genera Chlorocebus,
Macaca and Papio. Additional
responsibilities included the recruitment, training and supervision of
interns, volunteers and primate keeper. Also updated and managed the
central database and maintained Internet communications. June

Primary responsibilities as a primate keeper were the daily care of
over 100 primates with representation from Cheirogaleus,
Lemur, Eulemur, Propithecus, Callimico, Callithrix, Saguinus, Leontopithecus, Pithecia, Ateles, Macaca,
Papio, Colobus, Trachypithecus,
Hylobates, Pongo, Pan and Gorilla. Notable
accomplishments included initiating the development, design and
construction of a large outdoor enclosure for surplus prosimians, writing a chapter
for the Varecia
variegata Husbandry
Manual and the appointment as primate keeper contact for PIGs (Primate Interest Group).
May 1996-September 2000. (Full-time employment as Primate Keeper was
from August 1998-Septeber 2000).
