Science Outreach connects the resources of Washington University to K-12 schools and the St. Louis community. The goal is to enhance science teaching through hands-on investigative methods, especially for neighboring districts with a demonstrated need. The programs reach more than 15,000 students and 500 teachers each year. (Biology Department)

Project Aria is Washington University's K-12 outreach program aimed at inspiring students in science and technology through hands-on participation in actual space projects. Already, over 3000 students have touched space through Project Aria by flying their own science experiments on the Space Shuttle. (School of Engineering and Applied Science)
