Speak English With Us (SEWU) is a program in which community volunteers meet with a student one hour per week for casual conversation and mutually rewarding cultural exchange. Meetings take place on campus, at a home, at a supermarket, department store...the possibilities are endless.

The Host Family Program

The Host Family Program allows students to become unofficial “ambassadors of goodwill” whenever they are invited to a once a month family (or singles) event. Students have their own apartment and do not room with the families. The nature of your participation depends upon your own interests and those of your assigned family. Museums, campus events, informal tours of St Louis and its “happenings” are enhanced when seen through the eyes of others!
