National Academy of Sciences (Spring and Summer 2005)
As a research assistant I contributed to the work of the study committee on Food Marketing and the Diets of Children and Youth [link], organized by the Institute of Medicine in collaboration with the Food and Nutrition Board and Board on Children, Youth, and Families.
The committee was focused on the question of whether and how food marketing to children contributed to the onset of obesity. I was mainly involved in the meta-study of research related to this question. The findings form part of the final report that has since been published. [link]
Structural Version Control (2003-2005)

Causal and Statistical Reasoning Course - CSR (mainly 2003)
As a research assistant to Richard Scheines I worked on the online course on Causal and Statistical Reasoning [link]; developing the content, in particular the case studies, and investigating student log data.
Course Capsules Project - Ccaps (2003)
As a research assistant to Michael Kohlhase I worked on the development of a semantic mark-up of the course material from a computer science course at Carnegie Mellon (Fundamental Datastructures and Algorithms) in order to create an online course.
