Registration

Registration Forms

  • The general form covers registration for the Declamation Contests, Poster Contest, Schnitzeljagd, Student Skits and Video Contest. The General Registration Form is available as a download.
  • Teams participating in the Schnitzeljagd will receive a sign-up form (with time slots assigned) in the mail but will have to pick up their questionnaire in the German Department office in Ridgley 319 during the assigned time slot.
  • A separate registration form is required for entry in the Spelling Bees. (Please see the Spelling Bee page for the registration form.) We will be able to accommodate two sections on the Beginners level and two on the Advanced level. Schools may register only one team for the Beginning and one for the Advanced level. It is important to register for this event as soon as possible. If you have registered but find that you are unable to participate after all, please let us know so that a wait-listed team may take your time slot.

Mail or Fax forms to:

Registration forms should be mailed to: Attn: Empress Sanders, German Department, Campus Box 1104, Washington University, One Brookings Drive, St. Louis, MO 63130-4899 or faxed to: 314.935.7255.

General Registration Deadline

The general registration deadline is March 8, 2009. We are now accepting all registrations for each event.

Early March Mailing to Highschools

In early March we will send participating schools sign-up slips for the different activities, to be filled out ahead of time with the students' names as well the name of the respective school and teacher, to be brought along on German Day. This will save time when they are handed over at each activity and will allow for a smoother flow of each contest. This mailing will also include the times assigned to individual schools for the Student Skits and Spelling Bee divisions.

Should you have any questions about German Day which are not answered by this website, please contact Empress Sanders.
