Graduate Program

Research Abroad

The department has graduate exchange programs at the universities of Berlin, Köln, München, and Tübingen. As part of the exchange, graduate students from these universities study at Washington University for one year.

In addition, our graduate students have regularly qualified for scholarships for additional study abroad from such agencies as the Fulbright-Hayes Commission and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). For more information about agencies that fund research abroad, see our External Funding for Studying and Teaching Abroad page.

For more information about our graduate reasearch/study abroad program, please contact Stephan Schindler or Lutz Koepnick.
