Summer Research Grants

FOR PH.D. CANDIDATES

MAX KADE DISSERTATION SUMMER GRANT 2007

A summer research grant of $3,500 will be awarded to a Ph.D. candidate working on a dissertation dealing with aspects of contemporary German literature. Applicants should provide a CV, a description of their project, and a recommendation from their dissertation advisor. A minimum stay of six weeks is required.

FOR FACULTY MEMBERS:

DAAD/MAX KADE CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY GERMAN LITERATURE GRANT 2007

A summer research grant of $3,000 for a faculty member planning to work in the field of contemporary German literature. Applicants should provide a CV and a description of their project. A minimum stay of four weeks is required.

Grant recipients will do research at the Max Kade Center for Contemporary German Literature with its excellent Suhrkamp-Insel Special Collection. The Center is administered by the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures in conjunction with Washington University's Olin Library.
