Timetable For The Tübingen Program

Year Abroad Program

  • February 1: Applications due
  • March: Applicants informed of acceptance
  • Beginning of September: Arrival
  • September: Intensive Language and Orientation Course
  • Mid-October: Winter semester begins
  • Mid-February: Winter semester ends
  • Mid-April: Summer semester begins
  • End of July: Summer semester ends

Semester Abroad Program

  • May 1: Applications due (for the following spring)
  • Mid-Summer: Applicants informed of acceptance
  • Late January: Arrival
  • February: 4-Week intensive language program at the Goethe-Institut Bonn
  • March: 4-Week intensive language and orientation program at Universität Tübingen (Deutsch-Kompakt)
  • Mid-April: Summer semester begins
  • End of July: Summer semester ends

Application Process

Each September, there is an information session (Gottingen-Tubingen Day) to answer any questions you might have concerning the study abroad program. Otherwise, please contact Erin McGlothlin or the German Department at 314.935-5106. Applications are available in the Overseas Studies Program Office (Stix International House) and are due on February 1 for the year abroad and on May 1 for the semester abroad.
