Are you interested in living in a community with members who share your interest in German culture and language and want the opportunity to practice your German? If so, you may be interested in learning more about The Village's BLOC program.

"Pursuing a common interest of the group’s choice, a BLOC is made up of at least 4 persons living in single rooms in a suite. If the number goes to 12 the group gets its own Common Room to stock and decorate in ways appropriate to their declared interest. A budget is available for programs and activities that facilitate the BLOC’s accomplishment of its goals. And if the BLOC’s application – due Feb. 22 by 11 p.m. – is approved following an interview, the group’s room assignment is confirmed early: BLOC room assignment night, with floor plans available, is March 5." (Dan Shea, BLOC faculty advisor)

Online applications for the BLOC program are available on the Village website, and written information about the BLOC program is available in the Department Lounge. For more information, please contact Matt Erlin or Empress Sanders.
