INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP
What is the ILP Scholarship?
After completing the freshman International Leadership Program, each scholar will be offered a $500 scholarship that can be used for a summer study abroad or to financially assist with internationally focused internships within the United States.
What can I use the ILP Scholarship for?
We encourage our students to use their summers to widen their global perspective in whatever ways that they can. This might mean enrolling in a summer study abroad program, volunteering in a foreign country, researching an international issue and/or interning with an international agency here in the United States. Be creative with finding ways to pursue your international interests during your summer break. Click here to take a look at a list of some of the opportunities past ILP students have taken advantage of using their ILP scholarship. (This link depends on whether we can compile a comprehensive list of past internships pursued…)
How do I obtain my ILP scholarship?
In order to be approved to use your ILP scholarship students must submit a scholarship proposal to director Priscilla Stone.
Your proposal should indicate where you will be, explain the type of internationally focused activity you will pursue and discuss how this experience will contribute to your commitment to international leadership. Proposals are expected to be about a page in length.
