Ph.D. Option in
Jewish, Islamic and Near Eastern Studies

A student may pursue a Ph.D. degree in the area of Jewish, Islamic and Near Eastern Studies under the auspices of an established department or interdisciplinary program (e.g., History, Anthropology, Comparative Literature, etc.) and Jewish, Islamic and Near Eastern Studies. Along with faculty representatives from Jewish, Islamic and Near Eastern Studies and the relevant department, the student creates a rigorous, interdisciplinary-course program. In such a program, the student must fulfill the basic requirements of both participating university subdivisions as well as of his or her specific program.
