Graduate Application Process

Please note: December 15th is the deadline for application for admission and financial aid for matriculation in the fall. Graduate students matriculate only in the fall, not in the spring.

(1) Apply for admission to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

(2) Take the general GRE examination in time to have the scores reported to us before the application deadline. Take the TOEFL examination if English is not your native language.

(3) Fill out the Music Department's information form.

The application process includes general Graduate Record Exam (the music GRE is not required). Applicants to the master's programs in performance and composition are also required to take the department's entrance examinations in history and theory. Persons wishing to apply should contact Professor Snarrenberg well ahead of the application deadline.
