Eligibility
Four or more semesters of college Mandarin Chinese; 3.0 minimum GPA with a B- or above in all Chinese language courses.
WU Credits
Students can expect to earn 12-15 units of WU credit depending on course selection.

Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB) is a comprehensive institution of higher learning with emphasis on economic management. Located in a bustling area of Beijing, the university enjoys modern conveniences and is near many points of cultural interest, including The Forbidden City, Beihai Park, the Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall. The university has about 4,700 full-time students, including students from over twenty foreign countries, and has a faculty of over 1,000.
The university is well equipped with modern educational facilities, including a library, a computing center, and athletic facilities (track, tennis court, basketball court, and volleyball court).
Housing
All students will be housed in CUEB's Foreign Students' Dormitory, in doubles. The dorms have a café and reading area, communal kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, hot water machine, internet café, and laundry facilities.
Student Life
It must be emphasized that ACC is a language-intensive program with an extremely rigorous study schedule. Students should expect to spend most of their time with the program attending classes, completing assignments and studying. Strict attendance policies and the language pledge are upheld by professors and by the Field Director. Students pledge to only speak Chinese, especially in social situations. ACC offers a variety of activities, field trips, an opportunities to practice Chinese and learn about the culture. Each student will also be assigned a host family, with whom you will spend some weekend time.

Application Process
If this program is approved by your department you must submit a completed WU Semester/AY Study Abroad Application with program-specific forms to the Overseas Programs office in McMillan 138. If this program is not approved by your department, then you must meet with Jennifer White Reding before proceeding with your application.
