Location
Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China
Hong Kong is one of the safest cities in the world. Often described as The City of Light, Hong Kong is the meeting place of East and West where the indigenous culture of Southern China comes into contact with the best the West has to offer in the world of the arts and of entertainment. And the result has been a creative fusion that has thrown new light on many traditional art forms. Hong Kong is particularly well served in terms of performance venues and arts festivals.
Housing
Students live in residence halls. Hall life in HKU is highly valued, and forms part of the tradition of the University.
Student Life
The University offers a wide variety of programs, activities, and general education programs outside the regular curricula to broaden students' learning experience. The HKU Student Union has prospered over the years and now has over 110 affiliated societies, including faculty and academic societies, hall student associations, Independent Clubs Association (ICA) clubs, Cultural Association (CA) clubs and Sports Association (SA) clubs.
