Eligibility
Minimum 3.0 GPA. Students must have completed 300-level French since the internships will be conducted in French.
WU Credits
Students enroll in 3 courses, a French language class and 2 elective classes, and an internship for a total of 16 credits. Students must work in a university or government lab for their internship in order to receive credit.
Location
Paris, France
The program is based in Paris, the capital city of France. Paris offers tremendous artistic and cultural resources to students. The Boston University Center, including administrative offices and classrooms, is located within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, in the 15th arrondissement.
Housing
Students have a choice of living in residence halls or homestays.
Student Life
After an orientation period, students enroll in three courses and begin the internship placement process. During the second half of the semester, students participate in local professional life through faculty-supervised internships. Students serve as interns full time, Monday through Friday, while also attending small group and individual writing tutorials which monitor progress in the internship and the drafting of an extensive analytical internship report. An oral defense of the report completes the semester's requirements.

A Program Director, Assistant, and Internship Director, as well as faculty, provide on-site support.
Application Process
The application process differs based on your department's approval of this program.
If this program is approved by your department you must submit a completed WU Semester/AY Study Abroad Application with program-specific forms to the Overseas Programs office in McMillan 138. If this program is not approved by your department, then you must meet with Jennifer White Reding before proceeding with your application.
