Eligibility
Minimum 3.0 GPA. One year of Korean language study at WU (or the equivalent).

WU Credits
Students can expect to earn 12-15 units of WU credit depending on course selection. Summer participants can expect 3 units per course.

Location
Seoul, South Korea

Seoul is the capital of South Korea (the Republic of Korea), and with more than 10 million inhabitants it is one of the most populous cities in the world. On the establishment of South Korea in 1948, it became the capital of the country. The city is the political, cultural, social and economic centre of South Korea, as well as an international centre for business and global organizations. Seoul National University was South Korea’s first national university.

Housing
Campus Housing is not available to visiting students. Housing for exchange students is available at the Kwanaksa (Gwanak campus dormitory). Travel time from Gwanak campus to Yeongun campus is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes by public transportation. Please be aware that the campus housing may not be available to all applicants since there are always outnumbering dormitory applicants than the number of rooms available. SNU does not provide assistance for off-campus housing.

Student Life
SNU offers a variety of student activities and sports clubs. Students clubs include musical bands, choir, orchestra, dance, painting, photography, student newspaper, traditional Korean music, travel clubs and SNU International Students Association. Sports clubs are available in fencing, golf, basketball, rugby, scuba-diving, snowboard, ski, horse riding, baseball, yacht, judo, kendo, soccer, taekwondo, tennis, etc. All clubs and activities are open to international students.

Application Process
The application process differs based on the term in which you wish to study abroad and your department's approval of this program.

Semester/AY Applications - If this program is approved by your department you must submit a completed WU Semester/AY Study Abroad Application with program-specific forms to the Overseas Programs office in McMillan 138. If this program is not approved by your department, then you must meet with Jennifer White Reding before proceeding with your application.

Summer Applications - You must submit a completed WU Summer Study Abroad Application with program-specific forms to the Overseas Programs office in McMillan 138. If you wish to receive major or minor credit, please ensure that this program is approved by your department and you complete the Study Plan with your Study Abroad Advisor.
