Summer

Guidelines
Studying abroad during the summer provides an excellent opportunity to earn credits towards your degree, either for general credit or within your major(s)/minor(s) of study.

Students seeking major or minor credit for their summer studies must meet with the Study Abroad Advisor for that department who will advise students as they plan to study abroad, approve the WU Study Plan, and evaluate the course work completed abroad for major/minor credit.

Students not seeking major or minor credit for their summer studies do not need to meet with the Study Abroad Advisor for their department.

**Departmental Approval and Petitioning
Only declared majors and minors in an approved department are eligible to apply. Students in other majors or minors and students wishing to participate in an unlisted program must submit a petition through the Overseas Programs Office.
