Istanbul is bounded on the north and the south by two seas, the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara, respectively. The western half of the city lies in Europe while the eastern half is situated in Asia; in between the two halves flows the Bosphorus Strait. Istanbul, representing the Asian city nearest Europe and the European city closest to Asia, is a leading port whose importance is stressed by the age-old trade routes passing through the Bosphorus.
The campus of Bogazici University is perched on top of a hill overlooking the Bosphorus.
Housing
Students will stay in the university's newest dormitory, the Superdorm, in suites of three or four single rooms with a common kitchenette, bathroom, and living room. Students can choose to be placed in suites with other international students, or a mix of Bogazici students.
Student Life
Within the University, student life is rich and varied with activities to cater to almost all talents and interests. The University has a tradition of encouraging extra-curricular activities that are consistent with the educational objectives of the institution and in response to the interests of students.
