Areas of Study
Limited by WU to either Arabic and Islamic studies and psychology, although this prestigious British university offers many other subjects from which these students may select to round out their semester schedules. Majors other than psychology or Arabic studies must file a petition with departmental endorsement in order to attend the University of Exeter.

Psychology students may attend Exeter for the academic year or spring semester, beginning the one semester psychology program in late January.

Applicant must have appropriate background of prior course work or courses in progress.  Additional prerequisites for the psychology program include statistics and experimental psychology.  Majors other than psychology or Arabic studies must file petition with departmental endorsement in order to attend University of Exeter.

The University of Exeter is one of the best universities in the United Kingdom and is situated in southwest England near Dartmoor National Park, two hours from London.  On campus there are lakes, parklands, woodlands, and gardens with many rare species of plants and trees. The campus may be the most beautiful in England.

Housing
Most study abroad students prefer to live in the university’s purpose-built self-catering flats (apartments), which are either on campus or close-by, within easy walking distance of the teaching buildings, the social and sports facilities, and the city center.

Student Life
The Student Union operates a variety of retail outlets that are an essential part of student life – bars, coffee bars, a store, and a print and resources center. The campus’s Great Hall is where the many name bands have preformed. There are about 50 sports clubs, and over 80 societies, a weekly newspaper, a TV station, and a radio station.

The application process differs based on your department's approval of this program.

If this program is approved by your department you must submit a completed WU Semester/AY Study Abroad Application with program-specific forms to the Overseas Programs office in McMillan 138. If this program is not approved by your department, then you must meet with Jennifer White Reding before proceeding with your application.
