The OPUS program is appropriate for students majoring in the following disciplines: Classics, Economics, English, History, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, Religious Studies, and Urban Studies.

Eligibility
3.2 GPA overall, 3.4 in major; strong writing skills; preparation to undertake serious academic work in the subject area(s) to be studied.
WU Credits
Students will typically earn 16 WU units of credit for the spring
semester, 32 for the academic year, and 5-6 for the summer (Late Trinity
Term).
Location
Oxford, England (UK)
Oxford is a medium-sized city that is home to over 30,000 students. Beautiful and historic architecture sits alongside all the main high street stores, numerous coffee shops and restaurants, and a thriving bar and club scene. Oxford also has beautiful riverside walks and the oldest Botanic Garden in the country.
Housing
OPUS provides high quality accommodation within the city. All students have their own, fully furnished bedroom and share a modern well equipped kitchen, lounge, and bathroom. A regular cleaning service is included at no additional cost. All properties are professionally managed by housing agents and regularly inspected by OPUS. Students may remain in the housing during an intervening vacation period at no extra cost.
Student Life
Participants have affiliate student status within an appropriate Oxford College with full access to library,social and athletic facilities, including dining privileges. Students in the OPUS program will be placed in a specific college and will spend most of their time socializing within their college. As an affiliate member of Oxford College, students can choose to participate in over 300 specialized clubs, including one of the most prestigious debating clubs in the world. Students are also welcome to join sports teams.

Application Process
The application process differs based on the term in which you wish to study abroad and your department's approval of this program.
Semester/AY Applications - If this program is approved by your department you must submit a completed WU Semester/AY Study Abroad Application with program-specific forms to the Overseas Programs office in McMillan 138. If this program is not approved by your department, then you must meet with Jennifer White Reding before proceeding with your application.
Summer Applications - You must submit a completed WU Summer Study Abroad Application with program-specific forms to the Overseas Programs office in McMillan 138. If you wish to receive major or minor credit, please ensure that this program is approved by your department and you complete the Study Plan with your Study Abroad Advisor.
