Study Abroad Ambassador Program

As study abroad participants, you have had valuable experiences living and studying abroad and therefore you are an asset and a resource for the Wash U community.

If you are interested in sharing your positive study-abroad experience, looking to improve your presentation and event-planning skills and enjoy mentoring undergraduate peers, then you should apply to be a Study Abroad Ambassador!

Responsibilities

  • Attend training meetings twice a month. Other meetings will be scheduled as necessary for event planning and session preparations. Every other week will be a casual get-together for Ambassadors to share their experiences with the group.
  • Present at pre-departure briefings and program information sessions.
  • Answer questions from students interested in study abroad.
  • Assist in planning outreach efforts, recruitment of new members, study abroad walk-in advising hours, and events such as the Returnee Reception and Paperwork Party.
  • Brainstorm new roles for SA Ambassadors. There are many opportunities for involvement that have not yet been thought of!

Fall 2008 applications due Wednesday, September 10.
