Overseas Programs welcomes you back from study abroad. We hope you had a fantastic experience studying and living abroad. Returning home after your time abroad can be both rewarding and challenging. You probably have a great deal of energy and excitement about the past few months and are ready to make something more of your incredible new world experiences. You may also be feeling a bit of reverse culture shock as you try to readjust to life back in the US.
We hope you will explore the resources listed here to make your transition back to WU and St. Louis as smooth and rewarding as possible!
Here are some resources to stay internationally engaged:
- Become a Study Abroad Ambassador
- Get involved with International Students on campus through the Office of International Students and Scholars
- Search for international internship and career opportunities at the Career Center
- Get involved with an internationally focused student group on campus
- Find out about volunteer opportunities through the Community Service Office. Opportunities may be available to give back to your community abroad or work with international populations in St. Louis
- Volunteer at an internationally focused organization like the International Institute or the UN Association
- Volunteer at or attend the St. Louis International Film Festival
