The Department of Philosophy at Washington University provides a limited number of highly qualified graduate students with the opportunity to pursue intensive and individualized programs of study leading to the MA and PhD degrees in philosophy. This Guide serves as a compendium of information about the several programs involved and should be read in conjunction with the Bulletin of Washington University, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, which is the standard source of information on admission procedures, general requirements for advanced degrees, and related matters.
