Uses PET and fMRI for in vivo study of the central nervous system of humans and non-human primates. One line of work uses image analysis strategies and mathematical models of blood flow, metabolism and pharmacology. A more applied line of work uses these methods to study specific cognitive and emotional functions in the normal human brain and in psychiatric conditions such as depression and anxiety.
