Ongoing research in Zacks's lab addresses two issues in cognition. First, how do people understand everyday events, like making a cup of coffee or washing a car? Second, how do people solve spatial reasoning problems, like packing luggage into a car or navigating with a map? Both projects develop rich relationships between behavioral experiments, functional neuroimaging studies, neuropsychology, and information technology design.
