Here is a list of the events The Kingsbury Ensemble has planned for the 2011-2012 season. The schedule of programs evolves through the year, so be sure to check this page from time to time.

Unless otherwise indicated, tickets for all concerts are available at the door: $20 general admission, $15 seniors, $5 students 15 to 25 years old, free for children, unless otherwise indicated. The flute was popular with both amateur and professional musicians during the baroque, so the most celebrated composers provided music for it. This concert features by Teleman, Leclair, and Boismortier for two flutes and continuo, along with solo harpsichord pieces by Rameau. The performers are Douglas Worthen and Paul Thompson, baroque flutes; Eric Lenz, baroque cello; and, of course, Maryse Carlin, harpsichord.

Viennese Classicism
Eric Hoeprich, one of the most brilliant players on the classical clarinet today; Seth Carlin, fortepiano; Linda Quan, viola; Margaret Humphrey, violin; and Ken Kulosa, cello; recreate the magic of 18th century Viennese music as heard during the classical period. The program includes clarinet trios by Mozart and Beethoven, a clarinet quartet by Franz Krommer, and the Mozart piano quartet in Eb major.

The Three Sopranos

Our three talented singers, Jessica Heuser, Christine Johnson, and Elise LaBarge return with the Ensemble for a program of works for one, two and three voices, ranging from Italian madrigals by L. Luzzaschi to airs from operas of H. Purcell and motets of J.B. Lully. They will be assisted by John Korak, baroque trumpet.

The rising young soprano Sherezade Panthaki, of whom the New York Times wrote "the luminous soprano Sherezade Panthaki floated her arias with pure, penetrating tone, mining deep emotion from the subtle shaping of the lines," joins the Ensemble with Kiri Tollaksen, cornetto, for a concert of early German and Italian masterpieces.

In the spirit of the musical and literary gatherings of Schubert artistic circle, the Kingsbury Ensemble invites you to an benefit performance of chamber music, fortepiano solos, Lieder, and fine poetry, accompanied by hors-d'oeuvres, Viennese pastries and libations!
