St. Louis

Driving on I64-West (called 40 around here)

• Take exit 34B-Skinker/Clayton. At the top of the ramp, facing the world's largest Amoco sign, turn right onto Skinker.
• Follow Skinker for 1.5 miles. (At 1.4 miles, you'll see the sign for Westminster on the right; start getting into the center turn lane.) Turn left onto Washington, which is the last street before the light at Delmar.
• We are the 8th house on the left, with the blue shutters (map below). Park on the street.

Driving on I64-East (called 40 around here)

• Take exit 33D-McCausland. At the bottom of the ramp turn left onto McCausland.
• Follow this north for 1.7 miles (it will turn into Skinker).  (At 1.6 miles, you'll see the sign for Westminster on the right; start getting into the center turn lane.) Turn left onto Washington, which is the last street before the light at Delmar.
• We are the 8th house on the left, with the blue shutters (see map below). Park on the street.

Driving from Lambert Field:

• Follow signs for 70E/170.
• Almost immediately after entering 70E, take 170S.
• Follow about 6 miles to Forest Park exit.
• Take Forest Park (it only goes east).  Follow for around 2.5 miles, past lights at Big Bend, Throop and Hoyt, to the light at Skinker Blvd.
• Take Skinker north (turn left), follow about 1/3 mile to Washington (when you see the sign for Westminster on the right; start getting into the center turn lane.) Turn left onto Washington, which is the last street before the light at Delmar.
• 6238 is the 8th house on the left, with the blue shutters. Park on the street.

Taxi/Train from Lambert Field:

• Tell cabbie it's on Washington just west of Skinker, and if he asks, suggest 170 to Forest Park to Skinker to Washington.  Taxis are expensive from Lambert ($30-35) because they tack on an airport charge.
• Or take the Metrolink train ($2) to the Delmar Loop stop (the 7th stop -- here's a route map), which is shown in the upper right corner of the map below.  Then it's a less than 10 min. walk -- Delmar to Skinker to Washington.  See map below.

Walking from 6238 Washington to the Anthropology Dept:

• Follow Washington west around to Center.  Follow Center west through the gate and turn left onto the walkway that runs behind Melville.  Follow the walkway south and across footbridge.  Once you climb up to campus level, turn right (so Olin Library will be on your left.  Follow the walkway psdt Louderman, Womens Blds, and Lab Sciences, to McMillan.  Then up the stairs to McMillan Hall.  GDS office is room 332.
