The Southern Appalachian Ancestral Registry: for a 10.00 registration fee, send your ancestral charts and family information to be placed on file in the archives office and in a computerized database being established to help you contact other members of your family. Preserving and collecting the history and genealogy of The Southern Appalachians.

The Wise County Historical Society Bookstore has over 130 volumes in stock, please send a #10 business envelope along with 55 cents postage, self-addressed for a booklist.

Southern Appalachian Ancestral Registry

A perpetual database of ancestral charts on file and available to researchers of families of the Southern Appalachians. For the $10.00 registration fee your ancestral chart will be maintained in a computerized database available to researchers. As researchers register their family ancestral charts with the Registry a surname search will be conducted and should there be a match they will receive your name, address, phone, fax or e-mail address. Your chart will also be available in the office for researchers visiting our archives.

For the one-time registration fee you will receive a search of the database for matches of the surnames you are researching. Free additions to the database of updates to your chart of new ancestral lines as you acquire additional information. Please remember to always keep your address updated.

Ancestral charts maintained for Southern West Virginia, Southwest Virginia, East Tennessee, East Kentucky and Western North Carolina.
