Forthcoming Fall 2009 Conference: 

“America’s Urban Infrastructure:  Confronting Her Challenges, Embracing Her Opportunities” will be held at Washington University in St. Louis, at the Danforth Campus on November l9-20, 2009.  The conference is co-sponsored by the Center for Regional Competitiveness in Science and Technology, the Center on Urban Research & Public Policy, the Program in African & African American Studies, the Office of Diversity Programs at the School of Medicine, the Center for the Humanities and the Department of Education. Confirmed participants include an interdisciplinary group of noted social scientists who have compiled significant research on various dimensions of America’s urban infrastructure from the disciplines of sociology, psychology, medicine, education, economics, and law, among others. The event is free and open to the public.
